WELCOME!  Thank you for stopping by.

I am a Canadian artist living in Grande Prairie, Alberta.  Since my family is gifted creatively it was natural for me to make art, however, it took many years to overcome the fear of showing it to anyone.  I've learned everyone is gifted to be a blessing in this world - a person ought to use his or her gifts rather than hide them.

Many of my relatives are artistic - my maternal grandmother taught me to draw faces so it turns out people are my favourite subjects.  I work mainly in soft pastels and oils to achieve life-like qualities, however not photorealistic.  The painting, subject and locale often dictate the medium to be used.

Process for Commissioning Artwork

1. Click on CONTACT ME and we'll start the process of learning what you envision for the painting
2. Send me photographs by email - preferably taken in natural light (no flash used) and not taken by professional photographers.  If you live in Grande Prairie, Alberta, I prefer to take my own pictures, however, if the painting is a surprise gift I will work with your photos.
3. I'll do a minimum of 2 pencil sketches and email photos of them to you; you choose the one you want painted.
4. At this point I require a 50% deposit fee; when the painting is in progress I will ask you if the painting is going the way you want. If you say yes, the deposit is non-refundable.  If you decide it is not, I return your refund and we go no further.*
5. As the painting is being done I email you photos of the progress on the picture on a regular basis.
6. Upon completion and your approval, we finalize our business with full payment and delivery.  If you live outside of Grande Prairie, Alberta, I ship the painting well-packed via Canada Post Priority Courier.

-       Soft pastels paintings are done on archival quality paper

-       For portraits add $25 for each additional subject
